Haul: LOREAL, SALLY HANSEN & REVLON Nail Polishes (Swatches)

As you all know, there has been a warehouse massive sale going on at Target. So over the weekend I had the chance to go visit my nearest store and bought quite a few nail polishes.

L-R: LOREAL Color Riche 112 Marrakech Sand; 216 Milk Shake in LA; 215 Monaco Roses; 507 Rivera Lavender

First up, are the LOREAL Color Riche polishes. The ones that were in the clearance bin appeared to be all pastels colors (Yay!). I was so excited when I saw them, as they no longer have these colors in their normal range. All the Color Riches polishes are so creamy and very opaque (at least for the ones I own). They dry fast and have a glossy finish, which I really enjoy.

ManiDay: LOREAL Burgundy Diva

With winter finally coming into play, it's about time to whack out the deep purples, dark blues and mossy green for the season. I'm never a girl who would wear a certain color based on the season, if I like that color I would wear it all year round. But deeper colors do make me feel more appropriate in the cooler days.

Today's star is LOREAL's Color Riche in Burgundy Diva 406. It is this gorgeous deep burgundy color with shimmer in it. As you can see, it has got this lighter sheen when you look at it from a different angle.

OOTD 26.4.13

Hello ladies! I was out and about today, as I was told that there is a massive sale going on at Target, I ran out of my house to hunt down some goodies without hesitating.

I usually like to throw on something casual and comfy when I know I will be walking a lot (aha leggings!) and there's no one to impress.

A purchase from Hong Kong, made in Korea. It's plain grey in the front and black chiffon on the back with like a cape design (maybe I will insert a picture of the top later).

Haul: Nyx and Seche Vite

Online shopping has totally become an addiction of mine, especially when I find a good shop with relatively low price point. You will understand if you are from Australia. We don't have access to some brands, such as Sonia Kashuk, Wet 'n' Wild, besides shopping online. And even when they do sell them in Australia, their prices are marked up almost three times the price they are in US and other places. So enough of my complaints, let's move on to the haul. :)

I enjoy shopping at Beauty Joint. They stock some my favorite US brands at a reasonable price and they also have relatively fast shipping.

SECHE VITE Fast Dry Top Coat

Since I'm running low on my ORLY Polisheid top coat, I figured I would try the Seche Vite top coat that every other Youtubers rave about.

Review & Swatches: Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer

I was so excited this morning when I opened my room door and saw my ASOS delivery. Immediately, (judging from the size of the box) I already knew what's in it and there was no way I was going to wait any later to un-box it.

So, finally I have got my hands on the RIMMEL LONDON Apocalips Lip Lacquer. Since they haven't hit the Australian shelves yet, I wasn't really sure of what to expect and the color range. Therefore, based on other bloggers' reviews, I have chosen my 4 picks out of the 7 that were available on ASOS.com.

And I was pleasantly surprised. :) The Apocalips goes on so comfortably smooth on the lips that it gives a shiny finish like a gloss and the intense color of a lipstick. It's combined the best of both worlds. (Yes! It's a hybrid!) It did not feel tacky at all or dry up my lips like some other lip glosses do, it was rather creamy.

For the first beauty related post, I thought I would start off with something simple. =)

I wore this makeup look for my housemate's friend's 20th birthday dinner. I did not want to go too wild with it, so I kept my eyeshadow fairly neutral and only smudged a little pop of purple on the lower lash line .

WELCOME :D

HELLO everyone! =) After a very long time of struggle and contemplation, I have finally decided to start blogging and here I am with my very first post.

First, for those who don't know me...

I am 22 from Hong Kong. I have lived in most cities around Australia, including Sydney, Adelaide and now currently studying university in Melbourne. It was not easy to leave my family and all loved ones behind, but being away from home means experiencing a whole new life and culture, and meeting new people from around the world.

Through the ups and downs in life, I have now become who I am. Still shy when it comes to meeting new people, but have found myself a bunch of loving friends, which I am eternally thankful for having them stand by me at my worst.

So...no more of the boring stuff. This blog is going to be about a few of my greatest interests - makeup, nails, styling and other random thoughts that hit my mind. Hope you will like it :)
