Priceline 40% Off Cosmetics Sale Ideas

It's that time of the year again! Priceline is having another 40% cosmetics sale on Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th Nov. Time to make a list and get you wallet ready. Here are some of my personal favourite drugstore picks for you to consider:

First up, foundations - these four are my favourites from the drugstore. If you into dewy and glowy finish, try the BOURJOIS Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation (RRP $32) or the L'OREAL PARIS Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation (RRP $33.95). They are both staples in my collection and they work great with my dry skin. Loreal Lumi is a bit thicker in consistency and has a wider shade range compared to the Bourjois Healthy Mix. If you are all about the natural satin matte look, I recommend checking out the L'OREAL PARIS True Match Foundation (RRP $29.95) or the COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation (RRP $20.95). The True Match is a new foundation I discovered this year, it is many people's favoruite for a good reason. I really like this foundation, it was featured in my previous favourites post if you are interested to read more about it. The Covergirl Outlast is an oldie but a goodie, recently I have found myself reaching for it again and pairing it with a hydrating primer to beat the hot weather. One thing about this foundation is that it does oxidize, so make sure you let it set when you are choosing your shade. Also it dries relatively fast, so you either have to work really quickly or work in sections when applying.

My favourite powder from the drugstore has the be the AUSTRALIS Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder (RRP $12.95). Many people compare this powder to the M.A.C Studio Fix Powder, I can't tell you if this is a dupe for it, because I don't own the M.A.C one, but I do find this a very nice setting powder. I apply it with a big fluffy brush to add just a thin layer of the powder over my foundation and it gives me that extra coverage I needed. The PHYSICIANS FORMULA Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Face Powder (RRP $29.95) is the only mineral powder foundation I have tried from the drugstore and I adore it! I used to use this everyday last year when I first got it. It's super easy and fast to use, I normally just apply it in layer with a Real Techniques Buffing Brush or a kabuki brush. Best thing is that it is a compact, so I can just take it with me in case I need to touch up throughout the day.

If you are a beauty junkie, you should be familiar with these two concealers. These are many people's holy grails. I like to use the MAYBELLINE Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer (RRP $18.95) to brighten and colour correct my dark circles. It gets the job done and panda eyes are gone in a blink. With the MAYBELLINE Fit Me Concealer (RRP $14.95), I use it mainly to highlight and also to brighten my under eye area. I really like the creamy consistency and again it is said to be a dupe for the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, but I can't confirm on that.

Cheeks stuff. My favourite blush from the drugstore is the BOURJOIS Blush (RRP $20), I have a bunch of these and my most reached for shade out of all is 32 Ambre D'or. It is a bronzy orange with gold shimmer. It is heavily scented in my opinion, so I would steer away if you are sensitive to or you don't like any fragrance in your makeup, but I don't mind the smell. Sticking with Bourjois, I am not 100% sure if Priceline stocks this, but I figured I would throw it in anyway in case they do. It is the BOURJOIS Bronzing Primer. This is a nice cream bronzer to use over or under your foundation to give you that sun-kissed look. It is a soft and blendable cream. I usually apply it with my finger or a precision brush from Sigma, then I blend it out with a contour brush or a beauty blender. This is also very comparable to the Chanel Solei Tan de Chanel. The best drugstore highlighter award has to go to the PHYSICIANS FORMULA Natural Nude Shimmer Strip Nude Palette for Face & Eyes. It is such a beautiful highlight. Because it is a shimmer strip, you can definitely get a variety of highlight shades from this palette - pearl white, gold, pink gold, champagne and bronze. It is a versatile product as you could also use the colours as individual eyeshadows or your inner corner highlight.

Moving on to my favourite eyeshadows from the drugstore, they have to be the L'OREAL PARIS Infallible Eyeshadow (RRP $19.95) and the MAYBELLINE Color Tattoo 24H Metal Eyeshadow (RRP $11.95). The Loreal one to me is more like pressed pigments, it is very soft, easy to blend and pigmented. The only downside for us Aussies is the colour range. If only we could get Amber Rush here, it is my absolute favourite out of all and I use it all the time as an all-over-the-lid shade. Fancy some cream shadows and if you have not tried the Maybelline Color Tattoo, where have you been? It is one that lasts all day with no smudging. Pigmentation is great and easy to work with. My favourite shade from our limited range has to be Bad to the Bronze. Another great cream shadow that I forgot to include in the picture is the Australis Metallix Eyeshadow (RRP $9.49). This one also has great pigmentation and it gives an intense metallic foil finish. The texture is very moist, soft and creamy compared to the Maybelline one.

I don't try that many mascaras from the drugstore, because when I find a good one that helps with my straight and stubborn asian lashes, I stick to it. And I always opt for the waterproof formula, because it holds the curl better. The MAYBELLINE Lash Sensational Mascara Waterproof (RRP $21.95) is the one that I have been using the most lately. It's lengthing and volumizing. I really like the design of the brush head, I think it helps with the application. I have talked about it more here, if you would like to know. My other all time favourite is the L'OREAL PARIS False Lash Telescopic Waterproof (RRP $26.95). It is another lengthening mascara, which is what I am all about haha. It has a smaller brush head than the Maybelline one and I find this holds the curl better as well. This doesn't get clumpy either, which I really enjoy.

Last but not least, lippies! REVLON Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain is an all time favourite of mine, especially in the shade Rendezvous. I use this very often during the warmer months. It is very comfortable to wear on the lips and it leaves a nice tint after it wears off. Another discovery this year is the MAYBELLINE Color Sensational Bold Matte, they are pretty much the equivalent of the Creamy Matte lipsticks in the States. These are probably the best matte lipsticks I have tried so far from the drugstore. I don't usually like matte finishes, because I find that they dry out my lips pretty badly, but these don't and I like how creamy they feel on the lips. I have the shade MAT7, MAT4 and MAT5.

Hope you find this helpful and let me know what you end up getting in the comments below. Happy shopping everyone! :)
